I basically cut the JDM harness in half. The harness goes from 4 wires into 2 wire, after the transition I cut the harness. From there I took the ground wire from the now cut harness added a terminal and grounded it to a bolt in the engine bay. Then I took the power wire from the harness into the cabin and used a fuse tap to tap it into the DRL fuse which is under the steering wheel. It's a 90% solution. The DRLs don't function exactly like the normal boomerangs. The JDM DRLs only run when the engine is running. and don't turn off with the hand brake.

If you want exactly the same behavior as the boomerang DRLs. You would ground wire in similar way as above. Then tap the power into the headlight wire that powers the DRLs. I didn't want to do this because the headlight wiring is not exposed. So you would have to cut open wiring loom.

These aren't plug and play because the US cars have different harnesses under the steering wheel and for the lights. So where this kit would plug into there is no plug on US spec cars. So I think you'd either have to buy a JDM harness for under the steering column and for the lights. Otherwise you'll have to make a custom harness.(you could use the JDM switch to the custom harness) Good luck on the mod one of my favorites!

and in the description, it says that all OEM compenents are inside. converting some of those harnessing that is included to a custom made is enough. Do I have to purchase any other harness? I thought they are all JDM and have everything inside the kit.
