Hot fuse tap - Which fuse?

Anyone know, offhand, if any of the fuses are constant on with ignition off?

I need to tap for a powerbox/camera.

There are some unused open terminals in there (cabin fuse box) that are constant hot. I remember running into them when i was wiring the remote line for my sub. Other than telling you to use multimeter or test light to figure it out, i have no idea offhand which are constant. If you do not have a test light, you could always make one with a spare 194 bulb, some wire and a couple alligator clips.

Yeah, I'll have to bust out the multimeter and play with it. I expected the fusebox to be more easily accessible...and bigger.

Otherwise I'll try to find a wire to tap. Possibly the clock, or the dome light. Must be an always on power somewhere convenient.

Please document your findings, if you can. Pics would be helpful.

I think the only always hot lead in the drivers area is going to be the dome light.

Update: Looking for a hot fuse in the Scion FR-S or Subaru BRZ to wire an electronic device.

The STOP fuse, 7.5A, fourth from the top of the left column. Brake light circuit, it's hot.

For switched power plenty of options but I recommend the DRL circuit.

FYI Subaru uses short mini fuses, they're like mini fuses with cut blades and a slot in the middle. The box will accept normal mini fuses but you can't use a tap-a-fuse and still close the cover, not that the cover is very important.

Behind the plastic panel housing the hood release is plenty of space to hide excess wires or connectors.

I need to know a constant 12v and 12v fuse and the fuse only when ignition key is operational. I want to install Gauges.
Thank you!

great info, thanks! i am just about to install my ls370 with hard wire kit, but was wondering which fuse is hot since i don't see dome fuse by itself.

That's one, but the options connector (in the dash behind the HU) has another.
