24h Nürburgring 2018
 

While never as popular as the 24h Le Mans, the 24h of Nürburgring went live about an hour ago. You can watch a stream of the full event live and for free here:

I'm cheering for Assmann, driving a GT86.

Only watched bits of the race but it was pouring rain a lot of the time. In SP 3 class Renault Clio RS Cup finished 1st and 5th and GT86 was 2nd 3rd and 4th. Probably FWD didn't hurt the Renault in those conditions...

86 drivers requested tofu and water cups when the rain came down, officials denied the request as it might give them an unfair advantage.

Congrats to the WRX STi team. It was a good race with some issues, but the mechanics managed to solve them quickly. The three gt86's were not supported by Subaru, so not much to comment here. Just that the Renault was faster even before the rain and overall much faster than the gt86's. Their drivers tried really hard, but they couldn't do much about it.
