swaybar angle with endlinks
Hey! Just bought a set of adjustable endlinks for my brz and I have watched some videos on how to install and adjust them on our twins. Most of them mention how to get rid of preload but none of them talks about which angle should the endlinks make with the sway bar. Since my car is lowered, the angle of endlinks and sway bar is not same as stock anymore and from my understanding the angle is important for sway bar working properly. How did you adjust your endlinks? Thank you for any input.:thanks::thanks::thanks:

This is a great question and I'm looking forward to the responses. My car is lowered and has adjustable anti-roll bar endlinks on both ends, but my setup was done by a local race shop and I'd like to understand the mechanical considerations for setting things up properly.

I would imagine you would just want the links to be 90 to the roll bar at ride height. That way at full twist you don't get bind.

What kind of suspension do you have?

It won’t matter how much you’re lowered, but it’ll matter how much shorter the shock body is than OEM. But keep in mind the strut is at an angle, so depending on how much camber you have you’ll want to calculate how much shorter than the endlinks need to be. If the shock body is 1” shorter, you’ll wanna shorten .8” or something because the shock is the hypotonous in the hypothetical 90 degree triangle if that makes sense.

Attachment 166031 Yes, they look cheap and nasty but they were able to cut to the length I wanted. https://www.whiteline.com.au/product..._number=W23180 |
