Close to buying a 2018 86 gt. Is this a good price?

Was quoted $25,881 for a new 2018 86 gt. They said MSRP was $27,150. That was cheaper than I expected, but I don't imagine the sales are too good for the 2018. I live in the US right outside DC, if that has to do with anything. I'm new to car buying so any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Have you tried checking the MSRP online? Something like TrueCar?

Yea I got in touch with the dealer through TrueCar. But the MSRP on TrueCar was $31,370.

Sounds pretty damn good to me. I paid 25,300 for my 2017 last year in MD. The GT version now has nicer interior bits ect.

It is spring. The sales of these are just starting to warm up in the northern/central regions. If you wait much longer for a cheaper one you may not get it.
These are a very low margin car so don't expect a whole lot lower than that since they sell just fine and the dealers are not desperate to get rid of them.

Seems like an amazing price to me. My base 2017 was 26,700 OTD around this time of year last year.

Yikes these things got expensive I bought my FRS brand new for 23,500 in 2014

That's an amazing deal, I bought my 2017 86 for $24.6k, $3k more than that for all the upgraded bits is well worth it, if you're after those things.

You're getting a lot of car for that much money, IMO. If you can't hold out for any other incentives, it's probably a decent buy.

I'm seeing used 2017 models with under 10K on the ODO going for less than $20K. So definitely get the lowest price at sale since it's going to tank in value the second you drive it off the lot.

That is what happens when they change business models. As much as people hated the one trim, no haggle of Scion it did help keep the prices down. The OP here is talking about a GT trim so it will be more than a base FRS right off the start though.

Definitely a solid deal! I was able to get my 2017 86 for around $23k.

$27,150 is the no options MSRP for a 2018 86. The no options MSRP for a 2018 86 GT is $29,280. These prices include the $895. delivery fee.

Find out exactly what model the quote is for.

And don't forget the stealership doc fee, sales tax, and DMV fees. If you live in VA the doc fee median price is $599.
