Larger Avatar Vote?

Hey guys!

So I am a newer guy here(only been a member for a few weeks now) but have been obsessing over this car for a bit and have been addicted to this forum since I knew I would soon be driving one. I still frequent old forums that I am a part of but have noticed one thing on here that has made feel that we lack a tad bit of substance..(i think thats how you would put it?)

Larger avatars.. (I'm not saying Ginormous sized ones but a size around 350x115) gave us a bit of space to work with individuality.. for example ill post some the other guys and i have used in the past.

So what im asking is... can we take a vote.. lets say well close it in a week and if the community agrees and the Mods consent to it.. we can have the allowable size increased? what do you think?

We'd customize or have a member with too much free time on their hands make us one to our liking with our name or forum name and something we had an interest in..

Avatars and signatures are the bane of Internet forums, it just adds clutter. So yeah the current size is fine. Just my opinion.

That's my opinion as well. If it were up to me there'd be no signature images and maximum 3 lines of text in a signature.

Agreed with the two above posts.

Not to mention I don't think the half naked women have a place here either. If you wanna look at hot women, there are sites for that.

Those are just ones some of us chose to use. Everyone has a preference

Unfortunately, it changes the format of the forum by pushing the user information column over way too much making all posts longer since there is less real estate to display the information in it and it provides absolutely no functional benefit to anyone on the forum.

Eh, I wouldn't go THAT far..

I appreciate the occasional eye candy while scouring forums.

I hate to disagree with you, but car forums should be a place for cars. I look at this forum at work, and can't have stuff over PG-13 on my computer.

Some another forums I visit have this kind of thing right.
Signatures: set amount of text lines and no pictures.
Avatars: are max 180x180 pixels (big enough but not too big).

When a forums I'm on allow pictures in signatures, I disable signatures.

Edit: 135x135 looks like the right size for this forum.
