High Idle (up to 3k) while stopped in gear

Anyone else have or have any idea why the car would idle at 3k while stopped in gear? Anything to do with ACT Prolite Flywheel or tune?

Scenario:
1. Car is fully warmed, 900rpm stable idle with LTFT and STFT basically zero
2. Drive the car around
3. Come to a stop in 1st gear with clutch fully depressed = ~3k rpm idle
4. Change gear to neutral = goes down to 900rpm idle

sounds like tune issue

You might try turning off the defrost or air-conditioning. Compressor sometimes calls for high idle.

I’m guessing you’ve never heard anyone else have a similar issue?

Oh, all my accessories are off even the heater.

BTW, I’m running ROM ZA1JA01C-114-RR91, would ZA1JB01C be better?

Check vaccuum at idle should be arround -9 psi or -20mm\Hg

Vacuum looks fine at -9.9 and fuel trims pretty much zeroe’d, but any potential benefits of using the ZA1JB01C over the ZA1JA01C on a 2013 Canadian MT?

No issues using a b01C instread of your A01C

Probably worth a try in case its a bug in thte a01C race rom patch

Yeah, I was thinking the same, btw, is the process simple or requires manual copy/paste of tables like when upgrading from RaceRom 20479 to 24256 (9.1)?

Unfortunatly ecutec dies not allow copy of tables between differnt roms even if you havd tuner version, so you have to manually copy every table in base rom accross and then repet for racerom tables. You will need racerom extension to access racerom tables.

Steve but i copy-pasted tables many many times from different roms with ecutek...

haha yes you can manually copy.

but in tuner version of ecutek you can auto copy bulk tables between roms of same calid, but not roms of different calid

Well just flashed my ROM from A01C to B01C and let it idle for a few mins, the car didn’t die but the idle is wonky. Hopefully just learning fuel trims, so will drive the car later and see how it goes.

Btw, I noticed EcuTek shows even more recent ROM as compatible like 2016, is that true?
