Is over pipe worth getting after installed header?

Had my Tomei header installed and tuned to OFT Stage2+, it sounds so sweet along with my Greddy SP catback. Now I’m thinking about getting Tomei over pipe, it’ll free up the flow behind the manifold even more. Not planning on doing the front pipe, do not want to lose the only cat that’s remaining lol. Is upgrading the over pipe worth the couple hundred bucks of investment?

Second question, if I do get the over pipe does OFT Stage2+ still work, or do i need to get custom tune?

I installed a (high flow) catted FP and OP prior to my UELs and there was a slight difference in throttle response/pickup...I spend a lot of time cruising in 6th gear and when I needed to pass someone I repeatedly (over the first few days following install) thought I had left it in 5th and not gone up to 6th before setting CC, only to look/feel that I was indeed in 6th gear.

With all of that being said, not sure if you will notice that difference if you already have headers and a tune. I wouldn't think it would be worth the $$ for one of the more expensive OPs. I went the cheap route on my OP/FP and got 2.5" high flow catted FP and OP for under $250 shipped (Ebay - SRS Exhaust). I haven't seen anyone else running them on here, but I was super happy with the quality/fitment and so far they have held up just fine. They have a pretty extensive parts list for DSMs and get good reviews in that world, and those guys can be savage.

A tuner in the UK tested changing the OP in a NA car, it made no power change at all.

Have read on the forums that overpipe does not do much, if anything.

More gains to be had if you swap out the front pipe, but that will make a noticeably audible difference and [as you noted] will remove the last remaining cat on our cars...

How is holding up your OP/FP combo?

honestly no

Old thread but I'll comment anyways. OTS tune leave some power on the table. Money is better spent dialing in a custom tune than buying the OP running a OTS tune.

I did this when I installed gruppe-s header. Bought the header from a friend and was supposed to get the OP but his was buggered, so I ordered one and installed the header anyways.

Then pulled the header and installed the overpipe. I could not feel any difference but it was a piece of mind mod. Maybe it's slightly measurable on a dyno with tuning but not enough for your butt to notice.

Similar thing when I swapped over to a JDL 4-2-1 EL. Ordered a 2.5"OP(63mm) to replace the gruppe-s 2.36"(60mm) OP and after logging my tuner didn't notice any difference he could exploit.
