Trixie is one of my favourite trannies. Put her in a car and you'll have a lot of fun.

She's also pretty good at drag racing

Trannies in platforms?

Too soon?

I heard she blew a rod.

The only thing I believe can be predicted regards to a possible Ver. 2 is that they will probably develop it with racing in mind as they have with the new Supra.

I know it's super speculative but let's just have fun with this, ok?

Hello.

At the 2019 Subaru Ascent Event I attended, we went over the Subaru Global Platform. Reps made it pretty clear (as they always do) that every Subaru from now on will be underpinned by the SGP, except for the BRZ.

No word on whether or not the car going to be discontinued, but if that Japanese press that suggested the 2nd-Gen 86/BRZ is getting a 2.4L Engine--perhaps the FA24 (Turbo or NA)--I just want to say that in terms of performance it's a fantastic engine.

Did you ask them what platform means?

They don't need to change the engine. They just need to use a lightweight pulley.

And change the final drive to 3.75!

I'm just curious how long the BRZ can get away with continuously being the exception in the lineup. "Standard Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive*", "Global Platform with this this and this benefit*"

*all models except BRZ

Trying to remember, wasn't the BRZ the only model that didn't get Top Safety Pick+ or whatever on this year's new grading criteria (edit: only Subaru that didn't make the cut for at least Top Safety Pick)? If there's anything that would rub Subaru the wrong way, I feel like this would be a big one.

I'm obviously in the camp that hopes otherwise - heck, I just picked one up again. It's just how the car gets portrayed sometimes really makes you scratch your head a little.

only dealers really care. Subaru loves the fact they sell a car to people who might otherwise never even think of buying a subaru. Plus it looks fantastic, and that always helps a brand.
