Im so jelly of all of you people playing with your cars while I wait for shit to unfreeze up here in the north pole (commonly known as Canada).

On OP, I think everything has been said, but the one thing I would like to add is that while running an oil cooler I would still run 0W20 oil. I cannot confirm this at all, but a lot of the people who have had P0016 or P0018 (myself included) have had it on 5W30. Maybe its the cold weight that matters and running 0W30 or 0W40 is not problem at all, but on the other hand, I havent seen any people running into trouble with 0W20 and an oil cooler while being NA (FI is another story, too many things that can go wrong and contribute to the heat problem).

Although you later got more on top of it =) and actually gave me a perfect pass on what turned out to be the fastest lap of the weekend.

Excuses are like elbows we all have a couple BUT, that was a misstep for sure on my part. I finally experienced tires that had heat cycled themselves to death - I think it was the same session. There was still some tread life left but they WOULD NOT get sticky. It was playing with my head...
