Fully Upgraded Sound System

5 Attachment(s)
I replaced the factory head unit with a Sony XAV-AX200 and replaced the speakers with Pioneer Z Series components. 2 12” Alpine Type R subwoofers were added to the trunk. Speakers and subwoofers both powered by Pioneer amplifiers. Custom work in the trunk was wrapped in carbon vinyl to match the trunk and hood of the car. Looks and sounds amazing! Installed by Installations Unlimited. Pictures attached below.

2 way or 3way comps in the front?
the trunk looks nice, I like the touch with the led bar positioning. I would personally elect for grills on the woofers (and did), but I use my trunk for some things like a gym bag usually.
stock rear speakers, or just unhook the rear?

3 way comps. Kept the stock rear speakers. Just have them wired to the head unit but they don’t really do much.

What kind of sound treatment did you do? The base car is very noisy and is not a good starting point for quality audio. Unless the car is not moving.

Lots of dynamat. The rear deck was taken completely apart for dynamat to be used as well as all of the trunk and doors.

How much weight was added by the speakers + amps + sound deadening that got added in? Since I'm trying to lighten the car some, I'm guessing I need to budget ~150 pounds that I need to offset elsewhere to do moderate audio upgrades (most of that is sound deadening material).

Not sure exactly on the weight but 150 pounds seems like a good estimate. The subwoofers and amps can be removed without too much trouble for track days but the sound deadening does add quite a bit of weight.
