any updates on this?

These threads are the reason why my clunky ass doesnt pull or pry off things that have soft plastic.

I rather install items without pulling off the bumpers or fenders, things that may creek or not stay still after.

Any news in wether the scion ones fit the brz? Subaru doesn't list an updated part yet and my dealer has no clue what I'm talking about

I ended up paying 958.00 for a new bumper, clips , paint and install. Scion field rep told me did not re install the bumper right and the bumper shrunk due to the heat.

Ok. So after reading through this thread, here is what I did:
1) New headlight clips (revised part number)
2) New side clips
3) While putting on the bumper, started with the clips under the headlight.
4) Next the side clips
5) Inserted the push pins under the corner marker lights
6) Installed and tightened the metal strip along the top of the bumper
7) Installed under body panels

Two weeks and holding.....

well at least I'm not alone... F... this is a lot more work than I thought it was gonna be. Had I known this was an issue I would have gone for a different CAI lol

After spending over 900.00 for a new bumper cover and paint the problem came back :iono: I figured out a cheap ghetto way to fix the corner popping out. It cost me about 5 bucks and my bumper has been good for over 6 weeks.

I use small peace of speaker wire ( I cant remember if the wire was 16 gauge or 18 gauge speaker wire ) and pushed it into the seam using a plastic rolling tool i got at Home Depot for redoing screen doors. The fender pushes down on the speaker wire to keep the corner of the bumper from pushing out. You really have to work to get the wire all the way in so its pushing the tab down on the clip. Guys, unless you take the bumper off again the bumper isn't going to pop out. After I got the wire in I use black touch up paint to color the small peace of wire. You can even tell it there.

Hope this helps.

Try what I did . Its sound dumb but its worked. The nice thing is it cheap and you cant see the wire unless you take a flashlight to it.

It's pretty bad we have to do ghetto fixes to a brand new car already. After replacing all the clips under the headlight and on the fender the drivers side is better but now the pass side did it fml!!!
