Anyone got the Corsa catback paired with a catless EL header?
If yes, and if you installed the header after you installed the Corsa, how did it change the sound? I'm planning to get a UEL header but I'm in love with the Corsa and have a feeling I'll miss that wail. Only solution would be to either keep the OEM header (would REALLY prefer not to) or get an EL header (catless). But does the Corsa's voice change? Does it get tinny or raspy? Or is it the same beautiful howl but louder? Front pipe and overpipe will stay stock. Thanks!

If you get no answers and decide to take a chance on one, please post your results. I'm interested too.

If I don't get an answer, I'll probably go with UEL. Really don't want to end up with that tin and rasp

Didnt the speed academy tried one on their car? It was probably the loudest car I've heard: here, knock yourself out:

Yes that's a WRX, but it's a Corsa catback with EL header and aftermarket downpipe. That sounds like the earth is splitting open, where the same catback on a stock WRX is fairly tame, like on our cars. I think it's worth noting, regardless UEL/EL, it's going to be louder. Corsa systems are designed with the rest of the exhaust left stock. |
I had an ace header, JDL ultra quiet front pipe, and corsa catback. It was brutally loud. Stupid loud. Insanely loud.

I guess I'll stick with the original plan of Gruppe S UEL. Seems to be fine volume wise [ame="http://youtu.be/fQ2NO-Z1ai8"]http://youtu.be/fQ2NO-Z1ai8[/ame] |
