I would hope that everyones' opinion on it would wait until they've sat in it and drove it. But knowing what you've dropped into your Maserati I have to ask, barring a real disaster of a release would you buy it right away?

Because that is how I see this poll. Asking if you would buy it or not this early is just silly, IMHO :iono:.
That didn't stop someone for making a poll asking THAT question and so I think that is a separate poll altogether.

As long as my car runs, I'm keeping it. Whenever it decides to quit, then I'll get the FR-S.

I'm ditching my Z first chance I get (shhh dont tell her I said that), which will probably be sometime next year. I'm really just looking for something fun to drive with a lower payment and plan to lease this time around. I have other plans for the money saved.

If the FR is out by then, I will probably get it. If not, I can wait or may consider some of the FWD alternatives or a Subie. Work from home means I can hold out until I find what I want.

Using the 1/3 rule for how much car you can afford, I would need to make $60k to afford a $20k car(after $5k down payment). But if I wait, I can buy it outright in cash.

I don't make a lot of money nor do I plan on it. I don't have nor want a lot of expenses either though. I should be able to save up enough to buy the premier version in a few years and save a bunch of money in interest .

You can also save a bunch of money by switching to Geico.

Dunno when I'll get mine. As much as I really freaking want it, if it's too expensive when it launches then I'll wait until it drops a couple of grand... I know it wouldn't drop too much but they never drop anything noteworthy off in the first weeks/months (depending how it goes) of launch.

Seen people buy Landcruisers on launch night... full RRP with full dealer delivery. Dealers might chuck in a couple of accessories that are cheap for them but that's about it.

Having said that, if I'm happy with the launch price (god I hope this is the case) I'd sign up pretty quickly. We don't get any kind of special editions here that would be worth waiting for... Maybe special paint colours and accessory packs, but nothing substantial. Certainly no TRD versions now that they have a recent failure in memory.

I'm getting the Subaru version ASAP! Hopefully it launches with the scion

I won't be in a hurry... Actualy I'm not sure if I'll get one unless they make a turbo model, I am excited about the car and love it's styling but a 2 litre naturally aspirated engine doesn't realy inspire me... Not when I have 3 turbo cars and a V8 ute to choose from at the moment :s

I would like to purchase it right when its out, because I can't have for having some fun, but now that I recently purchased a new DD car, I have to find €€€. I would also like to have it later, maybe TDR parts, aftermarket parts or a more radical version, but by the time it comes it may be late, as I'd like to get the new M3 F32 when its out in 2014.

I need a track car, but a RWD. Don't know if before I'll yet build an M3 E30 racecar. The problem is that it won't be street legal.

It will be my 2nd NEW Subaru. I've owned a total of 3 already. This is my badge.

I would not expect the new RX-7 to START any less than $35k. You're talking about Mazda's legendary flagship sports car. It's gonna be B.A., its gonna be fast, its gonna be....spendy! Especially depending on how they market it. Highly unlikely they'll go near supercar status with it like Nissan did to their GT-R marque, but its possible. If not, its gonna be in the 370Z range of sports cars.

It would be silly of them to purposefully detune such a historic model to fit in with the FR-S, since they already have a car in that area....the Miata.

The main reason I wanna see an RX-7 revival is because it would further push Toyota to answer with a Supra successor. Mekekekekeke....

That would be great if that happened... Nissan GT-R, then a RX-7... Then Toyota comes from left field with the Supra. Oh what a lovely sight this would be! If I get wind of a Supra coming out I would put the Fr-S on hold till I see wht the Supra looks like plus bugs fixed on the Fr-S.

Lexus is made by Toyota, but it has different management and R&D from Toyota counterpart. No? They both outsource(or maybe not the right word?) technologies from Yamaha. Both share the same supplier and part(some models), but not Lexus is not totally Toyota if you consider everything. It's brand of Toyota Motor Corps.
