OFH3 on Ebay, Is it defected or legit?

I did weeks upon weeks of research on different headers for my BRZ, and I've settled on the OFH3. Then I did even more research on the OFH3, and I found a thread from ages ago saying that there was some dude, that stole defected headers and sold them. They ended up getting cracked welds after a couple months of ownership.

Do you guys think that this guy, extremepowerhouse, on ebay is a person who has "replica" OFH3 headers? or is it a legitimate distributor?

Price too good to be true? Probably bad.

Buy it direct from Openflash.

I was thinking the same. The only difference I can see, is shipping is free on eBay vs from OFP

Call Vishnu and ask

I bought ofh3 and oft in Nov 17, and have been quite happy, running e85 nearly the whole time. Only time I had to call he was friendly and helpful.

Cracked header scam was a good while back, not as recent as ofh3

Consider the cost savings vs how much $/headache would it cause if you get garbage parts.

Sometimes it makes sense, sometimes it doesn't

I mean ebay is pretty good for buyers, it is easy to get your money back if you get a item not as described.

I'm sure I'd pay shipping back and some sort of restocking fee though

No you wouldn't, not if item is "not as described"

you would pay shipping/restocking if seller has a return policy and you have a change of heart, for instance.

are they listing it as a good part? or used, as is etc? in fact even "as is" listing, you can get your money back pretty easily.

good for you as the buyer, but as a legit seller on ebay, it sucks sometimes. had a guy demand a refund on a laptop i sold because he assumed it had a GPU. even though i listed the model #, serial number, and never once did i say it had a discrete GPU, ebay forced me to pay shipping and give him $ back.

Can you post a link to the actual ad? Some of the guys may spot something fishy if it is there.
