Bent Chassis
 

Last summer I was involved in accident that put my car out for a year, as I gathered parts to repair the car on my own. I was hit in the front passenger side of the car. So far I've replaced everything to do with the suspension components for that side including the steering rack (Inner and outer tie rods, control arms, new coilers, end link, etc.). After my alignment I was told I had an issue with my caster and it looked like I had body damage. I got under my car to take a look at the damage.

I've attached some images that I took while I was under the car to compare my passenger and driver side. These were the only spots I could tell there was a difference. I also provided a diagram of the chassis to show where I took a picture. Can anyone let me know if this is fixable and if it is what could be the rough cost of what it would be to pull it back to spec? I currently have issues with the wheel hitting the back of the wheel well at full lock to my passenger side.

Did you replace the front subframe? Sounds like the mounting points for the lower control arm are bent out of place.

Even with the frame slightly bent like that? Replacing the front subframe would fix this?

It's a total shot in the dark.

Usually pieces like control arms and sub frames are meant to bend before the chassis because they are cheaper to replace. I have no idea how what you show would influence the cars alignment, but if you have not touched the subframe you absolutely should investigate that.

Looking for obvious damage is only part of the process. You need to make sure that all your dimensions are correct even if there is nothing to see. The attached (Thanks to Ultramaroon) has all the measurements and locations for you to properly assess the structure.

If the body is bent, you'll need to get it on a frame machine to be pulled back to spec.

As W said it will take a straightening machine to fix if off even by a little.

Then again straightening pictured in pic is way more thorough then what maybe needed imho. Probably slight pulling of front will move things into place, i doubt main body and rear to also needing straightening. But shop should tell after measuring reference points/distances.

Finally an update on this:

Was able to get the frame straightened out. I'm still having issues with the passenger wheel hitting the rear side of the wheel well. Also when I drive there is a small hop coming from the passenger front as well. I'm thinking maybe the wheel hub somehow got tweaked very slightly

this honestly sounds like a situation where you should have dropped your car off at a shop and had it fixed, did you put a claim in to your insruance?
