Right-hand drive parts source - seats?

Anyone know of a viable source for RHD parts, specifically an OEM drivers seat from a part of the world that drives from the right side of the vehicle? I want the adjustability and airbag that I have on the left side of my LHD car to also be available to my passenger on the right side. I would assume that a full-line Subaru parts source in Japan or UK could do this, but don’t know who imports that stuff or I should willing to ship on my dime. Strongly prefer to buy new.

And yes, I know this is going to be expensive. But it is cheaper than a late-model 911 and I really do like my BRZ, so I’m keen to at least try it first. My wife hates the fixed-seat bottom of the passenger seat, so maybe a RHD driver seat will cure that. If not, the BRZ has to go.

Thanks for any suggestions or leads!

Just read in another thread about this swap/upgrade. I would totally do it, if I came across a seat at the right price. I would expect to pay for shipping on custom imported parts.

Are you serious about the seat being a deal breaker? If so, your car must have come with dual-climate! Cause I have a base model that does not have dual climate, and my wife hates it! :bellyroll:

Solution: Got her an Acura MDX.

Having the up/down adjustment on the passenger side would be nice. I didn't even realize it didn't have one until Ultra pointed it out to me.

Doesn't the LHD passenger seat also have the side airbag?

A driver seat from a RHD car would have the airbag on the correct side, since it is just like the passenger seat on a LHD car but with the lift mechanism and such.

Maybe I could just buy the RHD base and lift mechanism and bolt on my existing LHD passenger seat? That would accomplish the same thing.

That's what I was thinking.

You'll also need to transfer over the seat sensor and the module for the occupant detection system into the new seat, if you want the airbag to work correctly.

Might just buy the Porsche.
