2017+ Headlights on FR-S

Greetings all. I've been searching for some time regarding the use of 2017+ headlights on older model USDM 86 (Scion FR-S). The only thread I've found so far is a guy who did a conversion of his 2015 at the link here:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...017+headlights

He hasn't said where he obtained his headlights, but I have found several OEM parts sites that sell them for about $740 a piece.

My biggest question is... are these new LED Type 2017+ headlight assemblies plug and play with previous year harness or is some modification necessary? If I've missed something in my searching, my apologies. I am a big fan of search first ask later, but in this case I haven't found much.

Thanks for any info anyone may have. Cheers!

6 to 8 pin conversion, similar to BRZ HID OE headlight wiring.

Everything else mechanical/fitment mounts up exactly the same.

Go check your local auto wreckers for one that was rear ended. Even if they don't have them there they can order them from another. Be a whole lot cheaper than new.
