thinking about getting these with blue accents for my Ultramarine FR-S. did a quick shop of how they'd look:

they're 17x7, 5x100 and have 40mm offset so i think they'll be ok. thoughts?

I'm liking the blue accents. What's the weight vs. stock?

Kido1986 07-24-2012 12:37 PM

That size and offset fit fine. My Konig Daylites are same specs and fit fine.

these are 21lbs according to amazon: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Konig-Illusion-Black-Wheel-5x100mm/dp/B003M8HB9A"]Amazon.com: Konig Illusion Black Ball Cut Blue Wheel (17x7"/5x100mm): Automotive[/ame]

stock wheels are 20.1lbs i think?

MVJ1975 07-24-2012 12:49 PM

Ahh. If they're not going to be lighter I'll stick with the Enkei's I was planning on. I do like the blue though.

any other input? haven't actually bought them yet so i'm open to any criticism.

this is another one i was interested in, Drag DR-38:

Damn, somebody bought the last set off eBay. Probably shouldn't have posted them..

you could always paint the stocks with blue accents, cheaper than purchasing new wheels and you get to keep the light weight stock wheels :)

If you have some money, I would consider a nice set of Wedssports. They have similar color schemes and should be lighter. I really wanted the sa-67s. I still might buy some for street wheels... http://www.wedssport.jp/products/english/sa67r.html#

anybody have any more thoughts on the illusions or dr-38's? gonna prob pull the trigger soon.

MVJ1975 08-19-2012 09:35 AM

The DR-38's appear to weigh a little less than the stock wheels, so I'd go with those.

The accents will come off relatively easy.
My friends had a pair with silver accents I think and they came off completely

is there any reason these wouldn't be compatible with the FR-S with the stock tires? these are the specs:

Quote:

Manufacturer/Model: Konig Illusion
Quantity: 4
Finish: Black Ball Cut Black
Size: 17X7
Bolt Pattern: 5-100
Offset / Backspacing: 40mm Offset / 5.5 Inch Backspace
Condition: New
i know @Kido1986 mentioned above that his Daylights were the same specs and fit fine, but for some reason online shops don't seem to see this wheels as compatible.

edit: did a little more research and i really can't find why these would pose an issue. i think i'll be alright.
