5.3L LS3 through the firewall
Have a thread going in the build section but thought I’d share some photos of the car I’m currently building at the shop when I’ve got time between customer stuff. Destroked LS3 to achieve a high revving flat powerband. Engine is moved back quite a ways into the cabin for weight distribution.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8f76de32ef.jpg
The car is a road race car so I wanted the power, weight, and reliability of the ls series without the low end torque that would make putting down power in such a light car more difficult. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...98ccf8d892.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Question, why are you using a high torque type intake rather than the stock type unit that has a very flat torque curve? Is it a class requirement?
I am an Absolute lover of the ls engines, and have been using them since 1999 for my race cars. Currently a ls7 dry sump in a 2000lb car. The flat torque makes it much easier to get out of the turns. |

The single plane manifild is the only thing aside from ITB’s that will support the RPM the engine will be operating at. As much as I’d love a set they are out of the price range until the rest of the car is finished Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

What kind of car is that in the photo? Looks like a mg or 240z ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

May as well make some room for bigger front tires while you're at it.
