2018 BRZ Suspension in pre 2017 brz?

Are the struts / springs interchangable from the newer 2017/2018 brz's and the older ~2013 ones?

I am considering installing either used PP suspension or Koni Struts with the 2018 STi springs.

They are. And if you find MY2017 set in good condition/low mileage from part-out, good choice. If you consider purchasing them new, then i'd lean more to bilstein B6.

Install those with b6 bilsteins. B6s are meant for 20mm drop or less, and considering the 18 sti springs lower only 10mm, you’ll be in a perfect damping range.

I had Koni Yellow shocks for 80,000 miles before the FR strut blew, and while they were great, the bilsteins are so much nicer it’s a no brainer to spend the extra money.

PP shocks are Sachs which are nice but not Bilstein. Subaru’s most expensive car (2018 STi RA $50k) comes with bilsteins.

I find the bolded part of this a bit humorous. What makes Bilstein inherently better than SACHS? Not saying they are bad, but curious as to why you make it sound like the SACHS are worse...

I should have mentioned that is just my opinion. They are both great struts. The sachs are more comfortable and the bilsteins are more aggressive. The comfort difference is negligible IMO but IMO the performance difference is not.

Gotchya, I see that you were saying that in relation to the comparison between the B6 and PP SACHS.

The way you stated things, particularly in your last two sentences, it seemed like you were saying that the reputation of SACHS overall doesn't stack up to Bilstein.

Yes that’s exactly what I meant, I assume OP is looking to get the OEM Sachs or aftermarket bilsteins.

Both brands are great it’s kinda like saying BMW is better than Audi, there’s no way to quantify the benefits to rank them.

I was asking because I want to know if the new 2018 STi pink springs will fit a 2013 brz strut. I plan on putting on koni's
