Option 1: Order the permatex, spray away, and make my life easy.
Option 2: Pull the engine to perform a somewhat difficult operation because I like to torture myself to "do it right"?
Option 3: Try to fix it the right way in the engine bay because I really hate sanity?

Anything I missed?

I should probably update this with what I did. I used the spray, but I haven't been underneath it yet to check how well it worked. I will say that spray acts like super glue. If it gets on you you have about 10 seconds to get it off or you are going to be wearing it for a while. Eye and hand protection is absolutely necessary, and don't wear any fabric sleeves you want to take off afterwards. It will get everywhere.

Updating this with results. Spray was somewhat effective, but does not stop the leak. The good news is my car has a new stalactite. This is after maybe a hundred miles or so
