Rattling sound after downshifting
Yesterday, I downshifted to 4th on a cold transmission, using more force to shift then I should have. I was going around 70-75 mph. Not sure if I accidentally money shifted to 2nd. I didn't notice any overly loud rev sound or feel any wheel spin. Immediately on entering the turn, I applied throttle and heard a loud metallic rattling sound coming from the left air vent. The more throttle, the stronger the rattle. No sound at cruising throttle. Today, I tried again and was able to reproduce the rattle. Is this a sign of over rev?

I would think that if you had over revved the engine and it didn't like it ...... you would hear more than a rattle coming out of a vent.

Went for a drive to try and reproduce it. Warmed up for 10 minutes and did a few full throttle pulls. Wasn't able to reproduce. Maybe some interior part got agitated in the cold.
