WOW! Hope you get it done man! I went 2 hours on it LOL.... Got fed up and pulled the e-brake REALLY hard, and that was it... The car was moving a bit and pulling the e-brake hard was what made it for me... Good luck and report back when you finally pull through.

Ya we have applied in excess of over 120 ft lb of torque on that bolt. That didn't even move one bit

how long ago did you send money? I believe I ordered my part 2 weeks ago (like in the week of 2 weeks ago) and it just arrived today. Mine did not get stopped at customs in anyway - maybe your's got slowed down a bit?


Also, everyone talking about breaking this bolt loose....looks like I should have some fun doing this - I will think the bolt is impossible to move and put so much force into it I swing and dent my car when it comes loose....just you wait

Thats good to know its been about 8 days. I was just worried as I sent him a e-mail on the same day but haven't heard anything but that could be I sent the e-mail to the address that the paypal is.

Do you guys feel any difference in performance or anything like that? Or this is just for looks?

When I did this on a previous car the difference was night and day, honestly it was like re-learning how to drive. This time, the difference seems much more subtle. It is noticeable, and for the price well worth it. But don't expect a huge difference.

I installed mine today and had the same impression. I'll do some more spirited driving tomorrow to really get a good feel for the difference.

You could try this:

40" Breaker Bar

That may just break the head off the bolt though. It might be time to go rent an impact wrench and portable air compressor from a local tool rental shop to get some shock-torque on the thing. It is still possible that the bold will break with this method though. Best of luck, let us know if you have success.

There's a MUCH lower chance of breaking the bolt with an impact gun then a breaker bar. As long as you don't go crazy with the setting on the impact gun. I've removed plenty of exhaust mani bolts with my butterfly impact. Just let it sit there, hammering away until the bolts comes out. You'll need something bigger then a butterfly impact for the crank, but the idea is the same.

Since I have an automatic I had to get the Grimmspeed crank pulley tool. Worked like a charm.

you think this could work with a manual aswell if so ....sell it to me you wont need it anymore right/?

Yah I'm sure it will work on a manual. I won't say it was easy it still takes a lot of force but it gives you great holding power on the pulley.

Sorry but I'm hanging on to the tool for now in case I ever want to switch back, or if any of my fellow local owners need to borrow it.
