How to escalate an issue

Hi!
I am experiencing the common issue of the windows freezing up in the winter. Both Subaru and "Scion" has a TSB for this, but my local dealer won't do anything because Toyota haven't issued a TSB.

I can't find any way of contacting toyota directly, any tips on how to go forward with this?

I thought Scion = Toyota...

Yep, that's why it annoys me that my local toyota dealer claims that they don't have a TSB for it.

That is annoying.. just be more insistent. I had the fuel pump on my Subaru changed having used the American Toyota TSB to get the ball rolling. The Subaru dealer was great as they searched for something similar before they could order the parts but it was done without any hassle.

When I had to reach out to Subaru Corporate for an issue, I simply went to the Subaru Canada website and searched for a "contact us" button. Sent off an e-mail and received a reply less than 48 hours later.

That would be the first place I would try. Look for Toyota Customer Care or "Contact us" or something like that on the Toyota website and try that first.

Good luck.

I bought my '13 FR-S from a dealership five hours and one state away simply because it was about $1500 less than anything I could find locally; one of their used, "Certified" cars. When I took it to my local dealership the first time for service (and after having the window-freezing issue), they intially denied knowledge of any TSB. Being the somewhat compulsive person I am, I furnished them with the TSB number and a printout. They have been great ever since. I am very nice, even when slight disagreements may arise, and so are all of their service folks up and down the entire chain.
Perhaps just showing them the TSB? Toyota dealerships still service Scions.. should NOT be an issue in the slightest.

Thanks guys, I'll print both Subaru and Scion's TSB. Hopefully they will agree to fix it.

I didn't even print them.. Emailed them over to the service department.. The dealer I use is very proactive.
