2015 FRS to 2017 86 swap completed.

Finished up my conversion. 2015 FRS to 2017 86 turned out pretty well. The hardest part was repinning the 2017 lights to work on the FRS. The other issue is the 86 wheel doesn't control the radio functions. The other issue was the Air bag light from the BRZ seats.
Overall I must say the 2017 front end looks so much more aggressive then the 2015 front end. Like everyone I didnt like the new style when it first dropped but the look in person is much better. |
Don't take as an insult I am truly curious:
So what did it cost for this conversion? I would have thought it would actually be cheaper in the long run to just trade in for a 17. Looks great though! |
Looks really nice. Are you going to get the 2017 TRD front bumper pieces too? If I'm remembering correctly they improve it even more.

Nice work, for sure.
I need to find a voodoo priest here in PDX, and curse anyone at Toyota who even thinks the word "aggressive". I strongly suspect that front end was slapped on as a stop-gap between the old and the new, and the next version of the car will have styling that reflects that shitty front end. Take a look at the ass of a Prius for a hint what the next-gen will look like. |
Thanks guys. I got must of the stuff on the secondary market which help out. The only brand new items are the front bumper, wing and tails.
|
You're missing all the 860 stuff, like the 4.2" display in the dash and steering wheel controls, the orange stitched heated leather seats, the wheels, the fog lights, etc...
