OEM looking catch can with easy emptying
I am looking for a catch can, single but I don't mind if dual, that looks OEM-ish in the engine bay (=no crazy colors, huge logos, transparent hoses etc.) and that you can easily empty.
I was checking radium for example, and it seems you have to disassemble things to empty it, which is no-no. So I need some easy access, accessible drain valve or something. I don't want vent to air since that is illegal here. Thanks |
The Velox unit has a nice drain plug on the bottom. You could even get their adapter plate kit that, after it has been filtered, it drains back into the engine.

I have the RacerX catchcan. It has a drainage valve at the bottom, everything is included (hoses, clamps, mounting bracket).
Already collected 0.5L of gunk with it in 10.000km of driving. https://kek.gg/i/3HDshG.jpg |
Get an AOS instead of catch can. Then you do not have to worry about draining.

I went with the Mishimoto model MMBCC-BRZ-13P for that very reason. It was easy to coverup the labels and ease to clean.

The radium can has a drain port on the bottom. You can buy a drain valve kit from them to make it REALLY easy to drain. As it is, undoing 3 bolts doesn't exactly take long.

The Mismimoto looks looks good and it seems the opening could be easy.
Radium has drain kit, but you have to have any other thing to drain to; plus it seems it is a hassle next to the battery; plus the green fittings are no-no. Velox looks also good, but how safe is the "back to the engine" thing? And you said it has been filtered, do you must change/clean any filters than? |
