NYS inspection with Catless header and tune
Does anyone in the great state of NY have experince with inspection with a catless header plus stock catted midpipe with tune? Did you have any issues with “smog readiness” when they connect to your OBD port? Swapping the oem header back in every 12 months would be a pisser.

Sounds like you are correct. I just looked this up on the New York State DMV website:
How Many Monitors Have to be Ready? The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines allow up to two monitors to be in a "not ready" state for model year 1996 through 2000 vehicles and one monitor "not ready" for 2001 or newer model year vehicles. Are you running a catless header with a tune? I wonder if the suppression of the P0420 code would cause one "not ready" state? I just want to make sure I can do the catless header with Ecutek and a tune without inspection headaches. |

Do you know which readiness monitor will remain "not-ready".
I have a thing called Blue Driver which runs on my Ipad and displays all the monitor states in addition to CEL codes. https://www.amazon.com/BlueDriver-Bl.../dp/B00652G4TS |

Be careful if running the oft e85 tune as it also made my fuel monitor not ready until I switched back to 93 |
