Michelin Pilot Sport 4S?

EDIT: Sorry for posting this in the wrong section!

Interested in hearing some of your thoughts on these. Looking for a tire that can do aggressive canyon/backroad driving as well as some track weekends this year.

My setup will look something like this:

Coilovers: CSG Spec Flex A or Mono Sport (undecided)
Wheel: 17x9 Weds TC105N
Tire Size: 245/40/17

I'm taking some advice and staying away from RE-71R or similar tires for now.

There is another thread on this exact tyre..

I got csg flex a coils and 17x9 pilot sport 4s going on the car on Wednesday I’m curious what you ended up doing and how it was

I'm still waiting for the temps to come up above 40 per night before I put mine on in the PNW this spring. I bought them late summer last year. They are quite good.

They are quite a bit better than the Pilot SS's I had 4 years ago. And they're pretty close to the used Yoko Advan A0D8s that came on my RPF1 purchase in stock size at about 50% tread. I'd argue the Yokos would beat them and last longer, but the price hike is substantial.

SX2's?

OP doesn't have a BRZ anymore, went to an ND.

He did run SX2's and then tried RE71r's.
