Source for best priced tires in GTA / Canada?
Hey guys,
I am looking for a set of staggered summer tires in 215/40/17F and 265/35/18R. So far I have found quattrotires to be the cheapest and they also provide free shipping to my address in Toronto. I checked the Costco site and they don't have any tires in my sizes, so I'm going to call them to find out if they can order. Any other places to check in the GTA or across Canada (if prices are good enough to offset shipping)? Thanks. |
Tires23
5391 Ambler Drive Unit 2, Mississauga, Ontario L4W 1H1 TEL: (905) 602-8881 FAX: (905) 602-6181 and Discount Tire & Auto Centre 196 Nantucket Blvd. Scarborough ON, M1P 2N9 416-288-0078 www.discounttiretoronto.com are pretty good on prices for the tires I want that I’ve found so far. One is on the east side and the other the west side of town. Plus PMC tires has free shipping to Ontario |

SimplyTire and Kipling Tire are the cheapest I’ve found in the city. I’d recommend you check them out as well.
EDIT: if ordering online, 4tires is CHEEEEEAP. |

Costco?? Why has no one mentioned them yet
Edit: Obviously I didn't read OP well enough. |

With mounting, balancing and installation included with some places suggested above. I believe the $/tire is even better than what I found online.
Thanks a lot, guys! |
What compound? If you want 200TW the cheapest I've found was Burning Rubber Tire and Speed in Oakville
|
WalltoWall tire used to be the cheapest place I could find tires, or even Slick Auto Solutions. Both are located in Ottawa though, so your savings would depend on if you take any trips out there.
|
Tires23 or http://burning-rubber.ca/
I've used both and would recommend both. I use the latter nowadays because they are located in the same shop as Dave's Garage who does my alignment and inspections for Ontario Time Attack. |

I just ordered a set of Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's from Greenleaf Tire for $620 all in, in 245/40/17. It's the second time I've ordered from them and they've beaten the price of all the other tire shops I've contacted

I also just learned the Indy 500's have a $100 mail in rebate, so it's essentially $520 for the set Sent from my ONE A2005 using Tapatalk |
I was looking for Hankook R-S4 and I found Jspec Performance to have the best price, 895 cash for 245/40/17 and 600 cash for Nankang AR-1.
I have used greenlife tires in the past and they have also been one of the cheapest. |

Finally Picked Up My Tire’s Today From Greenleaf Tire’s. The Lady Who Was There Comes To My Work All The Time, Small World.
Also Seen A FRS There Picking Up Tire’s. |
Update:
Bought the Pirelli Pzero Nero GT tires from SimpleTires in the states, since no place in Canada offered this tire in the sizes I needed. SimpleTire offered the cheapest price for the set compared to TireRack and Discount Tires (price match, but out of stock for the front tire). I waited until there was a sale on the site and combined it with the Pirelli rebate. The staggered set in 215/40-17 and 255/35-18 cost me $631.58 CAD. I also bought a set of used wheels from someone in the states so I picked them up from my mailbox on the same trip. Total cost for tires and miscellaneous expenses in CAD: tires: $631.58 gas: $32.79 (roundtrip Toronto to Niagara Falls, NY (1.5 hrs 1-way). Drove a V6 SUV, if I had driven my daily corolla it would have been less) lunch: $46.56 (fancy McD's lunch with fam) toll bridge: $4.75 family roadtrip: priceless! Was honest with the CBSA officer on return and luckily did not have to pay any duties or taxes.:happyanim::thumbup: |
Tires
A little off the beaten path but you might call Hills Tire in Ohsweken, ON (near Brantford). Likely no online shopping. I don't even see a website but they are on Facebook. They also sponsor sprint car teams.
519-445-4270 I bought a set of BF Goodrich Comp 2 from them a few years ago. Good to deal with. I stopped in to inquire. They ordered them in and received them quickly. Fast quality installation. Good price and no GST (Located on the Six Nations reservation). I will definitely check there first the next time I need rubber. They also sell Michelin among other brands. Good Luck! EDIT: no sales tax on the reserve saves even more. |
