Automatic transmission and handbrake turn

Can anybody please tell me, what happen mechanically if you driving AT, and during drive pull the handbrake for drift/snow slide etc? Will the clutch disconnect or what?

Will the rpm stay if you lift the gas during blockage of the rear wheels, or will drop? If drop, should you stay on gas to keep reving (but also stressing the driveline?)

Thanks

If you only want to powerslide, hard braking (weight transfer) into a turn followed by mashing the accelerator will very easily kick the back loose.

Please only in empty places where there are no people or property to damage...

Basically only on private property on which you have permission to drive like this. Nobody wants their mailbox being bashed by some dumbo.
