Group Buy - Cusco transmission mount + Beat Rush master brake cylinder stopper
I am planning to liaise with Jesse Streeter about getting the following small items (both around 5000yen (roughly $65) each excluding shipping etc):
cusco transmission mount (only the blue bit): http://www.cusco.co.jp/catalog/popup...unt_color.html http://www.postimg.com/77000/photo-76244.jpg http://www.cusco.co.jp/catalog/img/IMG_1742-1.jpg beat rush master cylinder stopper: http://www.laile.co.jp/jpn/products/.../S36400DB.html http://www.postimg.com/77000/photo-76243.jpg purpose i personally find the manual gearbox has quite a bit of movement when shifting. this mount should be able to firm up and provide a slicker shift feel. i am also looking at the Perrin rear shifter bushing to tie it all up for a solid feel. Cusco doesn't say if this works for AT cars so for AT owners I cannot gurantee it will work so join at your own risk. with the brake stopper, it should improve the braking feel as the firewall will flex when you press your brake pedal hard. a few tuners like Cusco, Carbing also produce brake stoppers but they are integrated into the strut brace/tower bar and they are a lot more expensive. personally I just want an economical solution that does the job. more info about the firewall flex is here installation in terms of installation, brake stopper should be easy. it looks like just 3 nuts/bolts and all set. the transmission mount seems a little more difficult. it seems to involve around 7 nuts/bolts but it looks like easy access underneath the car and not a lot of stuff to disasemble. but i can't confirm unless i put the car up on jacks. any mechanics can install it very quickly tho. shipping i will organise this similar to the TRD rear spoiler GB. If we don't have enough people from each state/city to share shipping, i guess the items will come to me (Brisbane) and i will arrange posting via express (at additional cost) or get them shipped directly from Japan to your address, whichever is cheaper. interested members: - Nardi330 (Brisbane) - Cusco + Beatrush - Paid - Panman (Brisbane) - Cusco + Beatrush - Paid - Xauterus (Brisbane) - Cusco + Beatrush - Paid - KamaIT (Gold Coast) - Cusco + Beatrush - Paid - Zangetsu (replacing Toy86) (Sydney) - Cusco + Beatrush - Paid - jonnyboy (Sydney) - Beatrush only - Paid - Nix (Adelaide)- Cusco + Beatrush - Paid - Paragon (Canberra) - Cusco + Beatrush - Paid - Pulled out |

Any interest in a group buy possibly for the Cusco Strut Bar + Brake cylinder stopper instead of just the beatrush one??

both have brake stopper. http://www.carbing.co.jp/japan/produ...6310550.shtml# price will be at least $250 plus shipping tho. unless you want a tower bar as well, the Beatrush one is much better value (ie. roughly 1/4 of the cost). |

Interesting... haven't seen one thats a solid piece before. Always pivot mount. Mmm i want a strut bar anyway :D (lil bit of engine bay bling)... so i'll probably buy the Cusco one with Brake stopper as theres another vendor quoting roughly 240.. all good :) |

Cusco tower bar for $240 is a very good price and likely to be cheaper than buying from Japan. thanks |
pm on its way

since i don't want a strut bar, i decided to go for the Beatrush brake stopper only as it's much cheaper. or if you meant the Cusco mount, then ignore what i said above lol |
awesome! CUSCO strut bar and stopper
so what's the price and who's making the orders for the Cusco stuff? just thinking about firewall flexing makes me cringe! LOL! |

i want to limit to smallish/light weight items for low shipping cost. i personally don't want a tower bar right now as I might be tempted with force induction options later and I don't know if the tower bar would limit space for those systems. Same with intake and exhaust as I don't want to buy something I probably won't need/can't use later. |
update:
i have emailed Jesse for a quotation on the parts and shipping. will update once i have the information. at the moment, this GB is open until the end of July (this is flexible tho). thanks |
more update:
Jesse has not reply yet but i have spoken with a local shop (Extreme Project World) and the price for the Cusco transmission mount is around $65-70 register posted within Australia. express post is $10-13 extra. this is for a single unit price and if we have more people commiting they might be able to do better price. Extreme Project World doesn't do Beatrush but they are selling Cusco tower bar with brake stopper for $245 with shipping within Aust being around $40. all price above is GST inclusive. thanks. |
I'm on the fence for both parts, still deciding on strut bar. The brake stopper looks like it will obstruct any 3 way bars but should be fine with a straight over one.
