Hit and run

Unfortunately I got hit tonight and the piece of crap ran and I couldn’t catch a license plate number. All I know is that it was a yellow car most likely a sedan.

Here is the damage is it bad? Will the whole rear quarter panel have to be replaced?http://i64.tinypic.com/2e1a8u9.jpg

Quite a bit of what seems to be cosmetic damage. Probably cost you (hopefully insurance) quite a bit. Did it damage anything underneath, like exhaust or suspension?
Either way, I hope you called the cops ASAP, they can keep a look out for a smashed up yellow sedan and hopefully help.
Call your insurance company next and tell them everything.

It almost looks like it can be knocked back out. I'm no expert.

I would agree if it wasn't right on the bend like it is. There are of course guys that could fix that but it will take some serious skill and wok. Probably be a swap for most shops.

That's a shame ......:(

That dent/gash will not be easy nor inexpensive to fix.

That would be the insurance/body shops call ....... :iono:

More like a battered dish.

Well, ya, ....... you mix up the Bondo in a wok to keep it warm, as you apply several thick layers and let them cool.

Bubba suggests one beer between layers.

That's not ever going to shape up perfectly since it's a hard crease right over the existing somewhat hard edge around the taillight. It's likely it would crack were someone to try. It will require cutting and replacing the section for best results...

Really sucks. Makes me anxious I don't have a dash cam setup installed yet.
