Looking for a Fuse Box / Relay Block
Hoping someone can help me out here. Let me start out by showing you an example of what I'm looking for, rather than trying to explain it.
https://www.amazon.com/OLS-12-Slot-R.../dp/B072KJNPHJ I'm working on some projects, and want to consolidate my wiring. I've already built a switch panel, and the above is what I am looking to put into my engine bay. My switch panel has four switches. Each one would trigger a different relay. The item linked above is neat because it can house all four relays (it can hold six, but I only need four) along with the four fuses I would also want installed. However, I have two issues with the above item. First, it's crazy cheap, which has me worried about quality. I wouldn't mind something a bit more... quality... and better resistant to moisture and whatnot. Second, and more importantly, it's basically just a plastic chassis, but there is no common rail for me to feed power in and out, meaning I'd still have to merge a bunch of wires together underneath, where all the pins come out. So my question: Does anyone know of a product similar to this one, that could house four relays and fuses, but perhaps a bit higher quality that includes common points for power and ground to keep the wiring simpler and neater? The alternative is for me to do one of these... https://www.amazon.com/Liteway-4-Cir.../dp/B072Q3GLVJ ...in conjunction with one of these... https://www.amazon.com/HELLA-H849880.../dp/B000VU5IZG ...but that's messier than what I want. Thanks in advance! :) |
If you can't find something with a common rail, you could still wire it up fairly cleanly by chaining the common pins kind of like the last this

Well after a lot of searching, I found exactly what I was looking for. A bit expensive ($125) but looks to be well worth it based on the YouTube review I watched.

If you don't mind doing the assembly yourself (crimping the wires and such) You can get that box for about $30 here: https://www.waytekwire.com/item/46343/

Plan and measure your wire runs. Cut the wire appropriately. Slide the seal over. Crimp the end. Insert into the box and make sure the seal goes in right. If you want to dress it up you can get some heat shrink and wire wrap. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk |

Since I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to do I can't say for sure but it looks like you've got the right idea...

Considering that's the type of terminal listed under "related items" for that box, I'd wager that you are.
