Review: Swift Sport Springs vs RCE Yellow springs on B6 Shocks

In 2016 I installed Bilstein B6 shocks paired with swift sport springs. Later that year I installed the RCE sway bar kit. I always felt with this combo the ride was a little too harsh for my tastes. Like the shocks were not matched well to the springs. I was contemplating getting the shocks revalved. So I emailed Racecomp engineering asking them for advice. I talked to Myles who was very helpfull and found out that the B6 was developed with 280 lbs springs which was a perfect match for the RCE yellows. I wouldn't have to have my shocks revalved after all saving me $$$. So last Sunday my friend and I installed the RCE yellows along with Mooresport rear LCAs and I have to say the car is now perfect! Yes the car is about 10mm higher but who cares. More travel is good, especially the rear suspension. You want to enjoy your car, not get beat up by it. It still handles amazingly yet is now more refined.

My current Wheel/tires and suspension setup:
RCE yellow springs/ Bilstein B6 shocks
RCE F&R hollow sway bars
Raceseng Cascam and rear shock tops with 1" extra bump travel
Mooresport rear lateral links
17x9 RPF1s with 245/40 17 PSS tires

You might want to edit your post for clarity. RCE Yellows are one spring and RCE Tarmacs are another

Do you notice the extra travel from your rear top hats?

Nice setup btw, mines almost exactly the same.

Thanks, just edited the post for clarity. Not sure if I really notice. They do lower the back a little. I would say probably you would notice the 2" version the most. I would still hear the bump stops hitting the top occasionally because they're aluminum.
