Bumper Clip Damage
3 Attachment(s)
I've had some bad luck the past week or so with animals an my BRZ. About a week ago I hit a deer at relatively low speed on my way to work. When I checked for damage I didn't notice anything.
Then in the morning two days ago, I hit a possum, going a bit faster than the deer, doing maybe 45. This time however, I noticed a slight gap between the front bumper and fender on the right side, and today it appears the bumper is sagging a little more on both sides. My bumper isn't dragging or not cabby hanging, but when I looked closer I noticed a couple clips look to be broken that I think hold the bumper up. I have not taken the bumper off yet to do a closer inspection on what all may or may not be broken, however, I'm wondering if based on the pictures I've attached, if the clips may be repairable somehow? Thank you! I had not seen those clip reinforces before, and not have some on order. I did notice the supplier's web page has a different picture now and list that as a newer model.
I have been avoiding the quick release buttons because I'm not a fan of how they look. In the end if they do the job in the event I have to buy a new bumper at some point, they are cheaper than that. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk |
