Fitment questions before I pull the trigger
 

So I’m looking to change my tire setup. I’m thinking of going with Sparco Assetto Gara 18x8 rims with some Michelin Pilot super sports.
And also at the same time add Megan racing lower springs 1.75 front 1.25 rear
I wanted to make sure I’m not gunna have any clearance issues since I’m moving from stock size to a bigger tire and lowering the car overall. After doing some research I am also thinking I should just save up for some Tein Street Basis Z Coilovers instead of the lowering springs since some people seem to say it kills the stock shocks and rides horrible. But I can't decide and want to know if there is any merit to these concerns.
Since this is my first time lowering a car and changing anything suspension wise any advice or knowledge of the products would be cool to hear as well!

Lowering springs are fine for a street car. The whole "they will blow the shocks" thing comes from guys that have used lowering springs on cars that don't have a performance (i.e. base model Civics) shock to start with. The stock shocks on these cars are actually very good.

18X8 means nothing without the offset.
Go too high and you will rub the inside.
Go too low and you will poke out pass the fenders.
Also hope you are trying to keep the same tire diameter, or your speedo is gonna be off.

Put staggered tires that aren't near the same diameter and it'll throw off your abs.
