TRD Quad Tip Exhaust

Hey everyone,

I've been looking to get my hands on the TRD quad tip exhaust that was offered only on the RS1.0. I have seen some on the forums willing to sell theirs but I prefer to buy one from someone local and that I am not too sure on how to buy something from someone on here. I am aware of using a third party(e.g. ebay, paypal) or even using an escrow service but that seems too much of a hassle and I am afraid of being scammed(as do everyone else).

Has anyone experienced ordering it from a dealership? Would they only order it if you have an RS1.0? The part # I am referring to is PTR03-18150.

Any suggestions is greatly appreciated!

Buy the used one, pay with PayPal.

If you're going to spend the money on a new one, providing you can Even actually buy it, there are much better alternatives for the same price that don't have a TRD markup

MXP makes a quad tip cat back exhaust if you're looking for other choices specifically for the RS1.0.

The other option is just go to a shop that makes custom exhausts and have them chop off your stock tips and put on quad tips.

If I do, would I be covered if someone tries to pull anything? Do you have any advice/suggestions as to how this would be done? Sorry, first time considering about buying something in this sort of way.

Thanks for the suggestion! but I have already seen the other exhausts that are available in quad tip. I am not a fan of the burnt tips but that's just me. :iono:

I did think about this as well but I would like to know if this route was possible. I like the TRD quad tip because it's oem and has the "TRD" logo on them. I'm just a fan of the little things.

Providing you don't "gift" the money (Friends and Family type payment), and instead pay for "goods and services" you have a ton of protection through paypal.

My advice is to buy whatever you want, and pay for it via paypal.

This may be a noob question but can I have it shipped to a UPS/FedEx store or does it have to be a specific address(i.e. mine)?

You can put any shipping address in PayPal that you want, but it will show as "unconfirmed" and its up to the seller if they wish to ship to that address. With that said, I frequently ship stuff to my office which is not a confirmed address on PayPal and I've never had an issue.

EDIT: Also, paying for stuff as "Goods and Services" instead of "Gift" will charge the seller a 3% fee. Some sellers will ask you to pay the fee (i.e. pay an extra 3%), some may say "hey you should just send the money as a gift so you dont have to pay me extra". Dont do it, NEVER send as gift, even if you have to pay the extra 3%.

 Really good suggestion, thanks! I'll probably have things shipped to my work. I don't really mind that "3%" if it means I will have coverage in case things take a turn for the worst. Hopefully the seller is nice enough to at least split it but perhaps that's just wishful thinking.
