console pocket under ac controls

Has anyone fitted a single din full width pocket below the A/C controls?

I never use the USB port there and may be disconnecting them with a new headset anyway, and would like a wider tray.

I have push button start but am looking at reloacting that to the center console (and if anyone knows what plugs that uses it would be a bonus too)

Yes this has been done when people are going the Tablet as Head unit route. It seemed to fit without issue.

I added an EQ that is a half din in that compartment and found it to be a very tight fit. I'm surprised to see that someone was able to fit a single din there. My only thought is I have the dual climate AC controls so guess that takes up more room in the dash than the standard AC.

Also re-locating the start button is very easy. The cable had some length to move it around, or just cut some wires and extend the plug. I moved mine to beside the gauge cluster without having to cut or splice any wires.

That gauge cluster is great! Where do you find that for sale?
