OFT Gains

I want to say off the bat I did not expect my car to turn into a top fuel dragster by any means however I am noticing little to no difference compared to the stock tune (I am running stage 2 for catted UEL). Is this one of those things where you have to give it a few hundred miles before any difference? What has everyone else felt?

The gains aren’t huge, but they are there. Do you still feel a torque dip?

my first question would be...

Do you HAVE a catted uel or are you just running that tune?

Second, the biggest difference you'll see is with either a catless header or e85, or a catless header AND e85...

E85 being the big difference.

Cats removed and e85 can be up to 40hp over stock, you WILL notice that.

I do not remember ever feeling this infamous torque dip everyone talks about either. This is also my first car like this and maybe I just don't have a good feel for these things regardless. I have watched the vids online of people being immediately blown away and I just don't see this on my end. I'm going to maybe do a 0-60 run later on down the line, see if there is any difference there.

Catted UEL. I do want to make it clear on here I was realistic going into this about the gains, I just thought you would be able to notice SOMETHING. I also live in Virginia, I can't recall ever seeing E85 out here so that part of the tuner is out of the question for me anyways.

What else is done to the car?

Nothing, UEL and put a K&N filter on it. Wasn't trying to drop a ton of money on it, but it's been kinda hard to exercise self control here as of late.

I noticed a difference with a catless JDL UEL header and an OFT tune and my car is a 2017 with tunes that aren’t doing the same as the 13-16 model year tunes. The current tunes available for the 2017’s aren’t as sorted out as the previous years. Shiv is working on new 2017 tunes that will be giving another 15 or so lbft of torque in the midrange and a few more ponies up top too. My point is the tune I’m on isn’t quite up to par with the earlier years and I still noticed a difference. Not sure how much different the results are with a catted UEL header though. The biggest difference I noticed was in the mid range. The torque dip was obvious to me, and it’s mostly gone as of right now of my car.

Just noticed that yours is a 2017. Is yours manual or auto?

Manual. Maybe need to give it some time. Until now, maybe add some launch control.

Ok, so like I was saying the 2017 tunes are still being worked on. I’m assuming you’re on a v3.02 tune? The version 4 will be better. Launch control is one of the things still missing from the 2017 tunes as well. So no launch control yet.

Yes, It's the only one I downloaded to the tablet when he sent me the attachments because it was the only one that applied. How do you know when an update is available?

Either somebody will post about it on here or on the Facebook page.

Mine did take 100 miles or so to really feel like it was responding a lot better with each tune. I’m in a 14 with catless uel, drop in filter, modded snorkel, intake Perrin tube and now E85. It’s a different car.
