I made an E85 circuit with display...
I put together an E85 circuit with display.
[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yl5X_WG8wKw"]Flex sensor control test - YouTube[/ame] I have modified the coding to provide either a .5 for 0% or 4.5 for 100% ethanol content. It's pretty simple. This is code for 0% at .5 expectedv = ((((HZ-50.0)*0.01)*4)+0.5); This is the code for 100% at 4.5 expectedv = ((((HZ-50.0)*0.01)*-4)+4.5); Jaden |
https://youtu.be/_GxldRu8gtA....thanks to ztan ..also managed a display with his double tap traction switch..been using it for 2 years now.....https://youtu.be/bfQ5JlbGegY

This is a different setup and programming than ztan's...

I read through that entire thread and didn't really see anything for an integrated display. It's a long thread so maybe I missed it without realizing it or it was a non integrated solution. Anyways, I set this one up and it's working so whatever. Of course Zeke's work on the coding of the bin for flex fuel is astounding and makes these a much more worthwhile endeavor. Hell, that's why I added the code to be able to read 100% ethanol at 4.5v... Jaden |
This is cool. I'm actually developing a continuation of robot's clock replacement work.
I've fixed all of the major issues it had with display and warning states, and incorporated ztan's work for ethanol content, added mapping for a ProSport pressure sender to display oil pressure, and added a simple clock. In theory, it should work right now but I'm deployed until May. |
Nice work

Here it is working in the car...

Yeah, so I did a couple of things.
I verified everything was good and heat shrinked the arduino nano and sealed it in a case. Then I ran the harness to it and verified everything was working properly in the car. Then I took an old plastic cd drive cover from a computer case and cut out a section for the lcd to fit. After fitting everything I put it in and verified it all worked. I have a plug and play harness to tie it into the ECU once I get the flex fuel bin. I still have to figure out how I will mount the lcd plate permanently, it's just electrical taped on right now. I've since 3d printed a display plate...
I've since 3d printed an exact fit display board plate that pressure fits into that coin holder.

Thought I'd throw up a pic.

Here's a pic of what it looks like with the 3d printed display case. The filament I had used got some funky white streaking in it, but whatever, I may, if I get around to it, reprint it in carbon fiber reinforced polycarbonate, that seems to turn out the best.
