Yeah, so bought a android radio to get rid of the bad japanese thing.

But the original radio has some un-common screws on it. How can I open these?

Oh, the attacment does not show, have to edit the size

That looks like possibly a lock nut of some form. IDK if in the jdm market the dealer would have the keyed socket of that, or maybe a stereo shop might?..


never seen anything like that before other than on wheels

Yeah, it was the stock Toyota headunit.

I got them open. Flat headed screwdriver and brute force. They where not too tight so didnt even break the bolts.
But I didnt but them back, have to buy 2 new normal bolts if the new headunit is flimsy.
