There were drinks being ordered, and I felt like going big. So I ordered the most expensive drink on the menu; one ounce of Louis XIII. (I did not know at the time, but ordering at the table and bar are different. A table order comes with white glove service.) If you order it at the bar, the bartender nonchalantly pours it in a regular glass and hands it to you.
I can describe the taste to you with this analogy. "It tastes like chicken."
Was it worth it.... Not at all, but hey, YOLO Bitches!!!!

Like anything eventually you get to diminishing returns. I mostly drink whiskey (crown, jack, or jameson depending on what I feel like) but got into cognac recently. It stafted with regular Remy, then turned into VSOP, and now 1738 as long as its not a huge group mooching off me. Not much difference between VSOP and 1738 but enough to splurge on occasion. Cant imagine trying the Louis XIII.
Had a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue a few months ago and that is close to being an expensive addiction. It was soooo good.
