CAI mod

I was thinking of getting a k&n cold air intake. Do i need to take off the negative terminal before installation? I heard that the car would run lean and some has their check engine lights on. I also read in the other forums that you need to get it tune?

Instructions come with kits, just follow what the manufacturer reccomends during install.

Save your money, just an inlet tube and drop-in filter.

You do not need a tune and the car should not run lean from a simple intake change. You don't need to disconnect the battery but it never hurts to do it anyway when working with the electronic parts.

Thank you so much now i dont need to spend a lot loll. What brand of inlet tube should i get?

Will 100% be needed if you get the K&N Typhoon Intake.

Is the inlet tube going to get me anything other than looks?

Wider diameter and smoother airflow.

There is a huge debate on that. The manufactures claim 2 to 5 HP but that does not seem realistic. You are still just moving air and the very small change in volume and flow really shouldn't have any measurable impact. Of course many people that do it say the "feel" an improvement but placebo effect can be strong.

OK pro tube guys you're up...
