Technical question for Sears Point
Hey folks, for those of you that have driven your twins at Sears Point for a day like HPDE, if you were keeping an eye on oil temps, what were you seeing? Also, an idea of what your setup was at the time would help as well - I'm thinking of driving down for either Thunderhill or Sears Point this year, and while I know I'll need an oil cooler for Thill, I don't know if I'll need it for Sears Point or not.
Any help would be appreciated! |

Oil temps go up pretty fast for any performance driving. Temps can get higher than what would be considered safe for the longevity of engine life even when doing canyon roads. This is for a stock engine. Ideally you don't want to surpass 235° F. With an oil cooler you will stay well below that. |
