I've been sandwiched between merging semi trucks that both wanted the lane I was in at the same time, almost creamed by a BMW blowing a red light, and many other fun stories. SoCal's canyons are heaven for bikes, but you need to navigate the freeways and surface streets to get there....

2 car garage and 3 wide driveway. You get used to shuffling cars around.

Why? I like cars.

Wish I had more space? Yes.

Thats my goal since the fiancee wants a BRZ but is too sentimental to get rid of the Accord lol. I told her I dont mind parking outside but a 3 wide driveway is required for when we have 5 cars for just 2 of us lol

Yea, definitely an issue. There are some twisties nearby that don't require a freeway to get to, though :23:

Dangit now I'm looking at motorcycle classifieds. The wife doesn't like the idea, but it does make a lot of sense.

I have the BRZ, a 2000 Jeep Cherokee and a 1971 Jeep Gladiator. I live in a small rented cottage near the ocean with a single carport, so the BRZ gets that. I park the Jeeps in a rented warehouse that serves as my garage/workshop. In the past I have rented an RV storage garage for the same purpose.

Although my own retirement is a long way off, down my way there are a lot of retirees who move into small homes or mobile homes in 55+ deed restricted communities that have single-car carports, but when they come down from up north they bring their hot rods and projects with them. There's a kind of cottage industry around rented shop space with power for those folks.

Five cars for me: s13 240sx, BRZ, 97 miata, 2010 Mazda 3, 2005 TSX. 240 lives in the garage, brz and tsx in the driveway, both mazdas on the street. Been doing the car shuffle for years so it doesn't really bother me too much.

I just sold my last 1970 Gladiator back in November. Here it is taking a trip to its new owner in Michigan.

* Own a house with a 30yds of driveway
* 1 Ford Flex (family), 1 Nissan Frontier (daily/util), 1 2002 (C5) Corvette z06 (weekend/fun/nice)
* will add a BRZ (HPDE/autoX) soon-ish
* Still have 6 years until the girls hit driving age.
* Could easily do 6-7 cars without a problem

Wow. I don't know how you restrict yourself to 11k miles, but nice car ;)

Just wondering, who all here owns 3 cars? If so, why, and do you wish you had more space?

I'm wondering because we are renting but only have a 2 car garage. All logic says *no* but I want something faster (and don't want to sell my FRS).

I'll probably wait until I can buy a house, but I'm bored so :iono:

For a lot of my adult life, I've had three vehicles ..... a sports car (MGB, Miata, FR-S) and a four door sedan and an old pickup truck. Did I need more space .... nope, the truck always sat outside ......that's where old trucks like to be ...... ;)

Each one had an obvious specific purpose.
