Hey guys this is my first time posting in the forum and just need some basic information, I'm looking to get headers and a tune this spring and my question for you guys is if I go with catless headers will I throw a code and if so what will the code be? right now I have the spec d cat back exhaust and love it but am looking for a low end hp and torque gain thanks in advance.

The tune will usually take care of the code.

You’ll need a tune to prevent the ECU from reporting a code. Welcome to the forum, by the way!

Going catless headers will throw a code regarding to the O2 sensors or something relating to it, but a tune will take care of that problem easily. I recommend the OFT as a great entry level of tuning.

catted aftermarket headers are not 100% sure way to never have cat efficiency CELs either. (and due that imho even more makes sense going for catless header + stock 2ndary cat for higher overall gains, if ecu tune is needed anyway).

Another new lazy member. If only people actually took the time to research first, they would see so many questions they have, have been answered already. ...

Best way to search the forum for specific information is to NOT use the built in search function, instead use Google with "site:ft86club.com/forums" in front of your search term(s).

Example: site:ft86club.com/forums catless cel

Yeah, we have Photobucket to thank for that! Bastards!

It would be really great if everyone who posted pics hosted in photobucket would move over to Imgur and edit their posts with a new link to those pics....
