Painted / De-Chromed '17+ Headlights?

Has anyone pulled apart their 17-18 headlights yet and painted the chrome? Looking for pictures before I do it.

Nothing about it was hard per se, just time consuming for such a little cosmetic mod. The front bumper has to come off which is nothing but push pins and a few 10mm bolts. Trim around the headlights come off, then the headlights themselves. Baked the headlights to pull them apart which is always scary. I took my time painting them so it came out perfect. Waited exactly an hour between coats, did 4 light coats and two medium coats. Then waited a full 24 hours before putting it all back together.

So, take your time and nothing is hard at all. Just keep track of where all of the little screws holding the lights together go as you're pulling them apart. You'll end up with 15 per side!

Love the look, and thanks for the disassembled pics. I didn't know there was an outer and inner trim. I'm guessing you used gloss paint?

I used a satin black, so semi-gloss.

Haha, fuck me. I just did this over the weekend but wasn't sure if I could bake the whole unit (you can remove the circuitry entirely from older MYs, so I was hesitant to do it to my 2017), so I just tinted them.

I guess I gotta beg my boys to come back and help again hahaha
