Hello,

Does this sound normal? This is my first manual car i bought; and it came with a short shifter.

I always wonder if there is an issue with my gearbox because its so loud.

I am not familiar with how shifters suppose to feel as this was my first experience.

Although i drove my other friend manual car their shifter feels smoother, and less secure.

Any comments or input is greatly appreciated!

Its normal, nothing to worry about. Pretty much no sound deadening around that part of the transmission tunnel so you hear everything when the car is off.

Yep, that's normal.
