Subaru Starlink 7" now listed for 2018 BRZ
 

Noticed that Subaru updated their website and the 2018 BRZ is now there. As expected, the Starlink 7" head unit is now in the car. Although this is very early, anyone out there knows if the 7" unit can be retrofitted to our 2017 BRZ's?

It would also be interesting to know if Starlink actually works well enough on the new HU to be worth using.

Sadly, too little too late. I wish they would have released this info before I bought my head unit that's coming in today...

Based on what I have read about the CarPlay/Android Auto enabled HUs from the new Impreza, I would not expect the audio quality to be much to write home about.

I'll give it a week to break the speakers in and get a good idea of the sound quality.

If it sux I'll replace with a better headunit.

Regardless all speakers are being ripped out and replaced and a 12' 1000w sub is going in her.
